Your complete car-listing data stays on your computer.

AI Find Car is a desktop application that helps you find and evaluate used cars on Facebook Marketplace. This policy explains, in plain language, what stays on your own computer, what our servers receive when you use account or sharing features, and the choices you have.

1. What stays on your computer

The full car listings you save — titles, descriptions, prices, photos, and their AI evaluations — are stored in a local database on your own computer (a SQLite file in the app's data folder). They are not uploaded to us.

Your Facebook session also stays local. AI Find Car works inside a browser session that you log into yourself; the Facebook cookies that keep you signed in are stored only in a local browser profile on your computer. We never receive your Facebook password, and we do not store your Facebook session on our servers.

2. How AI Find Car accesses Facebook Marketplace

AI Find Car reads Marketplace listings by loading the normal Facebook Marketplace web pages inside your own logged-in browser session — either a local automated browser on your computer, or your own Chrome via the AI Find Car extension — and reading what is shown on screen.

We do not use the Facebook Graph API or any Marketplace API, and we do not use a Facebook access token to call Facebook. There is no server-side connection to Facebook that pulls your data.

3. Account and sign-in

Your account is your email address. You sign in with a one-time verification code sent to your email, so there is no password for us to store.

4. What our servers collect

When you use account, subscription, sync, or sharing features, our servers (aifindcar.com) receive:

• Account: your email, and any optional profile details you choose to add (such as name or avatar).
• Device: an anonymous device identifier (a one-way hash derived from your computer's characteristics), your device name, and platform (Windows or macOS), used to manage your licensed devices.
• Session and security: your IP address and browser user-agent for each sign-in session, used to keep your account secure and to rate-limit sign-in codes.
• Subscription and payment: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and a summary of your plan (tier, status, last payment amount and date). Your email is shared with Stripe to create your customer record.

5. Shared market signals

To build the public, aggregated market view (for example price trends and sold or closed counts), the app contributes de-identified signals about listings it has seen:

• Each listing is identified only by a one-way hash, and a seller only by a one-way hash of their seller ID — we do not send seller names.
• Free-text fields (title, description, location) are scrubbed to remove personal contact details such as phone numbers, emails, and street addresses before upload.
• The complete listing, its photos, and any personal details stay on your computer; only these de-identified signals are shared.

6. Email alerts (optional)

If you enable alerts, the app sends notification emails through our mail server to the email address you configured. Those emails contain details of the listings that matched your criteria.

7. Mobile remote control (Pro, optional)

If you pair the mobile remote-control feature, control commands, summaries of your top listings, and your account email pass through our relay service (m.aifindcar.com) to reach your paired phone. This happens only when you enable and pair it.

8. AI evaluation

Listing data is sent to AI Find Car's own online car-evaluation service to produce the score and report. We do not send this data to third-party AI providers.

9. What we do not do

• We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or crash-reporting SDKs in the app.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not store your payment card details.
• We do not use the Facebook API or access your Facebook account from our servers.

10. Cookies and tracking

The Facebook cookies that keep your Marketplace session signed in are stored locally in your browser profile and are not sent to us. Our website uses only what is necessary to serve its pages and does not run advertising trackers.

11. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. To request deletion of your server-side data, email privacy@aifindcar.com and we will process your request. The complete listings and photos on your own computer are removed by uninstalling the app or deleting its local data folder.

12. Children's privacy

AI Find Car is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
